The 2024 Prisoner Red Blend is another stunning example of creativity and craftsmanship in winemaking. The combination of Zinfandel with Petite Sirah, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, and Malbec is an intriguing mix that promises complexity and depth. In the glass, this full-bodied, opulent red reveals classic cranberry, blackberry, dried plum, caramelized vanilla, nutmeg and toasted coconut notes on the nose. The palate has a soft mouthfeel and a smooth and luscious finish, perfectly balanced with red and black fruit and an integrated sweet spice.

We have selected the best lots to showcase the highest expression of our flagship Prisoner Red Blend. The blend pays homage to the flagship while pushing the Cab up to bring structure and darkness, presenting a broader mouthfeel while staying true to signature softness and flavor profile.

In this vintage, the expression is a touch riper, as 2024 was a hotter vintage. Sugar accumulation was faster and higher at the time of phenolic ripeness. Aromas are Meyer lemon, mandarin orange zest, and jasmine flowers. On the palate, a dense core flanked by soft textural minerality holds up strong citrus notes with hints of limoncello and lychee.

The 2022 vintage was a challenging one with some major heat events just before harvest. The old Charbono vines have seen a lot, and while there were a few touch and go days, our Charbono held strong and stood up to the heat allowing the wine to maintain freshness. Classic characteristics of black pepper, dried cranberry, and nutmeg on the nose, and freshness on the palate display flavors of red stone fruit, pomegranate, salted watermelon. Elegantly balanced with a juicy mouthfeel that will pair excellently with summer barbeques.

Redefining taste once again, this Sonoma Coast Pinot Noir is a mix of Russian River and Petaluma Gap AVAs. Russian River valley’s diverse terroir contributes to a wide range of styles and the cool, foggy climate of the Petaluma Gap produces wines with a distinctive coastal minerality. 

Ripe cranberry and dried black cherry dominate the nose followed by early floral notes and hints of mocha, chai and leather. The mouthfeel is luxurious with juicy black cherry and spice midpalate and notes of Cardamom and clove on the lengthy and complex finish.  

The 2023 Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon palate is soft and plush, unfolding into a full, generous mid-palate and a sturdy, lingering finish. Ripe black and blue fruits dominate, with layers of cassis, blackberry pie, and deep purple plum, complemented by hints of bay leaf, cracked pepper, and crushed herbs that evoke a true sense of place. Integrated oak brings melted spice notes and toasted vanilla bean, seamlessly framing and elevating the vibrant fruit profile while adding subtle minerality for depth and complexity.

The result is a wine with remarkable balance, where the harmony of fruit, spice, and wood creates a truly memorable tasting experience.

Working with our growers in Napa Valley, we have wonderful access to small, premium vineyard lots of Merlot, which served as our inspiration to create Thorn. The Merlot was blended with a touch of Petite Verdot to help give its inky color and little Malbec to accentuate the fruit.

Mixed berry coolis, sweet spices and hints of cocoa tease your nose. The palate is soft and plush with a full mid palate and a sturdy, lengthy finish. Flavors of black berries, and dried red berries, dominate with hints of holiday spices carrying through to the finish. 

The 2023 vintage commenced 3-4 weeks behind the previous 10 year average due to heavy rainfall and cold temperatures that lasted into April and May. The winter leading into the growing season saw above average rainfall at nearly 40 inches in most areas around Napa Valley. This did lead to some anxiety around a late harvest and potential for early rains, but we saw a long mild summer that lasted long into October.

In the end we had amazing flavor development from this longer hang time, as well as beautiful color and phenolics that gave us perfect building blocks to craft perfectly balanced and delicious wines across the board. We are very excited to release all the wines from this amazing Vintage!

When creating the blend for our signature Red Blend, we selected the very best barrels that exemplified each of the varietals that make our Red Blend so unique. We gave these barrels an extra four months of aging to bring complexity and more integration of the oak. This wine displays all the characteristics of our signature Red Blend; we just turned up the volume a bit in terms of aromatic intensity, structure, and depth of flavor. 

The nose boasts notes of clove, cola, black berries, currants, toasty vanilla, and a hint of cream. The wine hits your palate with a soft entry and builds to a full mid-palate and lengthy finish with intense dark fruits and spice, with hints of pink peppercorns and dried bay leaf. We didn't make much, so stock up while you can—this wine won't last long!

With an amazing deep purple hue, the 2023 Sliver Red Wine immediately captivates. The nose offers a tantalizing blend of nutmeg, clove, cinnamon, toasted almond skin, maple, peppercorn, lavender, and black cherry cola. On the palate, chewy, foundational tannins anchor vibrant flavors of sweet anise, blueberry, bramble fruit, and vanilla, complemented by notes of cookie dough and pie crust. Layers of brown and dark spices mingle with plum, dried currant, black raspberry, and hints of blueberry, all lifted by a subtle touch of orange liqueur. This complex profile creates a truly memorable and indulgent tasting experience.

Like smoke from a magic lamp, bubbles rise from your glass, enchanting and enticing, bringing with them a wish, a chance to dream and be anything. Be ERASED.

Charbono is handpicked toward the end of harvest in mid-October right as tannins start to soften on the vine. This is usually around 24 brix for Charbono at Meyer Vineyard in Calistoga. Dried cherries, cranberries, and pomegranate, with savory hints of roasted meat. Mouthfeel is soft and balanced, and the finish lingers with hints of toasty vanilla.

The 2025 vintage was marked by steady, mild weather that allowed grapes to ripen slowly and evenly, preserving their delicate aromatics, natural acidity, and vibrant flavors. After hand-harvesting at optimal maturity, whole clusters of Viognier were held overnight for a brief skin contact to enhance texture and complexity, then gently pressed and settled before a cool fermentation began. Two-thirds of the fermentation took place in neutral French oak barrels, polishing the wine’s edges and building richness. After five months in barrel, the wine was racked and bottled, resulting in a beautifully balanced and complex Viognier that reflects the harmony of the vintage.

The nose reveals vibrant purple flowers, smashed blueberries, and ripe plum, enhanced by pebble and graphite minerality. Hints of spiced cherry cordial, salinity, nutmeg, and black pepper add complexity, while a lift of raspberry liqueur brings freshness and brightness.

On the palate, ripe blue fruits and raspberry coulis lead the way, complemented by juicy plums and stony undertones. The wine is full-bodied with a rich, plush mouthfeel, and finishes with warm spice notes of chicory, mace, and toasted filbert, leaving a lasting impression.

Aromas of blackberry, dark cherry, and ripe plum are layered with notes of warm fruit compote, cocoa, and cinnamon spice. The nose is rich, concentrated, and inviting. The flavor is intense and vibrant, the palate is packed with expressive layers of dark fruit, cola, graham cracker, charred meat, and pillowy toasted marshmallow. Seamlessly integrated oak adds depth and complexity, while the rich, coating texture remains balanced and polished. Opulent yet elegant, this Petite Sirah and Syrah blend delivers both power and finesse through a long, persistent finish.
