The 2022 vintage was a challenging one with some major heat events just before harvest. The old Charbono vines have seen a lot, and while there were a few touch and go days, our Charbono held strong and stood up to the heat allowing the wine to maintain freshness. Classic characteristics of black pepper, dried cranberry, and nutmeg on the nose, and freshness on the palate display flavors of red stone fruit, pomegranate, salted watermelon. Elegantly balanced with a juicy mouthfeel that will pair excellently with summer barbeques.

"I am a charbono grape snob. There is not to many to have this beautifully sinful grape on the vine anymore, started in France, France does not have as many if anymore. California got lucky keeping it alive. I have purchased bottles from 2021 through 2023 and everyone of them has been superb, divine. BUY them before they're gone"
