Blend: Zinfandel , Sangiovese, Tempranillo, Petite Sirah

The long vintage allowed for us to make easy and precise picking decisions to bring signature soft, but stuctured balance. Tannins were are bit big in 2023 that lead to adjustments in cap management to include more oxygen during pumpovers, and more frequent, but short pumpovers to ensure proper extraction to acheive our desired balance. Each vineyard block was held in tank separate through to barreling. Meticulous work was done to determine lots that would see these beautiful Rye and Bourbon barrels from High West. The Whiskey barrels were still wet with spirit when wine was transfered to them. The Whiskey barrels comprised 29% of the volume that made Complicit. The wine aged in a mix of Whiskey and barrique wine barrels for 9 months before blending and bottling.
