Our winemakers are perfectionists in their craft, intentional in selecting and artful in blending. No.39007 is a wine that was inspired by just that – taking two hand-selected batches of barrels, No. 39 Cabernet Sauvignon and No. 07 Syrah, and blending them to create a sum that is greater than its parts. The packaging leads with a striking metal label, representing the strong ring that holds together each oak stave in a wine barrel. Creating beauty from disparate parts is signature of The Prisoner, and the simple yet impactful packaging reflects that commitment.

ABV 15.0%

About Our Vineyards

When you outgrow winemaking tradition, you must forge your own path. And we did. The Prisoner exists because of the collaboration with our growers, many of which have been with us since the very beginning—from the Solari Family Vineyard in Calistoga, where old school sensibilities meet new techniques, to the Korte Ranch in St. Helena, a vineyard whose diligence outlasted the Prohibition and has sustained four generations.
