Wappo Hill Vineyard is one of our internal vineyards and proving to be the top performer consistently year after year. We love the density of color, flavor and texture the every variety demonstrates here. From Sauv blanc, to Syrah, to Malbec, and Cabernet Sauvignon, every many of our favorite varieties shine here and show amazing characteristics that are true to variety and unique to themselves. Amazing sense of terroir and minerality when ripe and fruit forward making for an amazing balance of elegance, power, and yum! This wine is made from two blocks that were destined for replant right after harvest on a beautiful little hill right in the middle of the vineyard on one side Malbec that sees the sun in the morning, and on the other Petit Verdot that gets the sun in the heat of the day. Due to these factors, these blocks tend ripen at the same time, so we decided to harvest them together and ferment them together. Each brings value to the other creating a very harmonious blend where Petit Verdot brings power and color and savory blue fruit, Malbec brings elegance and richness and purple fruit. We were stoked with the resulting wine, we felt it necessary to include in this collection and share with everyone!
