MEMBERSHIP FAQ

You will receive a shipment in February, May, October and December. Fringe members will receive a special additional shipment each January.  ​ 

A few weeks prior to each wine club shipment, we will send you an email with all the particulars of the release. You can also see the upcoming schedule here. If you want to add any additional bottles to the shipment, adjust the shipping date to fit your schedule or have any updates – once you get the email that is the perfect time to let us know.​ 

For your first shipment, if you joined in our tasting room, you most likely took your first allocation with you. Otherwise, we will reach out to you with the details of the current release so you can start enjoying your benefits…and your wines immediately.  

Your benefits will be activated after your first shipment is processed. You must take a minimum of three shipments per year to maintain an active status.  

As a member, your benefits include complimentary tastings, shipping specials, invitations to events both onsite and around the country and much more. Check out all benefits HERE.

Membership may be cancelled after fulfilling a two-shipment minimum. You may skip up to one club shipment per year. Benefits are not active during skipped shipment periods.

Yes! Customizing or adjusting your order is very easy and simple to do. You can make any changes you want prior to billing. Whether it’s adding additional wine or changing the quantities of our pre-selected wines – you can do this at your leisure. When you receive your wine club notification, there are a few ways to adjust your allocation.  

- Your email notification will include your preselected wines. If you like the selections, you do not need to do anything. 

- If you would like to customize your allocation, simply log into your account during the open customization window and make any desired updates. - If you are not able to customize your allocation this way, simply reach out to us directly to let us know what you would like at wineclub@theprisonerwinecompany.com

- If we don’t hear from you, you will receive the scheduled wines that are pre-selected in that release.  

If you need to make changes to your shipping address or shipping date after the last date to make shipping changes has passed, we may be able to help hold or redirect (within state lines) your order; however, please note the carrier may charge a fee. Once an order has shipped, we may be able to cancel your order and you will receive a credit less the shipping fees once the wines have been returned to us.

Yes, all shipments must be signed for by someone 21 years of age or older. If no one is present at the time of delivery, there will be 2 more attempts made prior to being returned to our warehouse. If the wine is returned to the winery, we can reship the order. Re-shipping fees will be charged. We suggest shipping to a business address, if possible, to avoid any missed shipments or delays.

One of your benefits of membership is complimentary Wine Club Member Tastings. You can book this on our website HERE. As a reminder, you may receive special pricing on any of our other experiences. 

Please use your email address associated with your member account when booking to secure your complimentary tastings or special pricing.

We ask that you keep us updated with any changes in your account – including your billing/shipping address, email address and credit card information - you can update your information either online under Manage Membership, calling us directly or emailing us.

YES! Go to Join the Club. Click "Learn More" into the club you are interested in. Below the account information form, you will see a checkbox under "Gift membership" checkbox. This will enable you to give the membership as a gift using their account details.

We ask for a minimum of a two-shipment commitment to our wine club. We hope it lasts a lifetime but realize that isn't always the case. Upon cancellation, we will send you a cancellation confirmation, if you do not receive this; your membership may not be fully cancelled.  And of course, when you want to rejoin, we will happily welcome you back!
