The Makery Experience

*The Makery Experience is temporarily closed. Please check back for future updates.

The Makery is a celebration of craft and community, bringing together diverse groups of artisans, designers, and creators with a collaborative spirit for creating. The result? A private, immersive wine tasting experience unlike any other, celebrating wine and food pairings through discovery of the local maker community.

Meet The Maker

While The Makery is currently closed here's a peek behind the curtain of the incredibly creative and inspirational makers we are honored to collaborate with.

Meet the Maker

Amanda Wright Pottery

From the moment she began molding clay on the wheel, Napa Valley resident Amanda Wright knew her pottery would take a different direction than most. Focusing her eye on detailed handwork, Amanda expertly transforms the clay into a variety of different products, mimicking wood, leather, and even metal. By pushing the boundaries of more traditional forms of pottery, Amanda’s maker spirit thrives in her diverse interpretation of beauty.

Richard Von Saal

Interior designer and skilled custom fabricator Richard Von Saal found inspiration everywhere when tasked with designing the Tasting Lounge for The Prisoner Wine Company grand opening in 2018. A lifelong Napa Valley resident, Von Saal deftly combined natural materials with the retro-futuristic brand aesthetic, creating an immersive, visual, and textural experience for visitors.

Meet the Maker

Combining her career in industrial design with a passion for the environment, family, and the joy of giving, Shujan created Àplat – culinary design collection. Àplat pays homage to her family’s lifestyle during their time in France, centered around togetherness, sharing food, wine and flowers. Her product’s origami design principle is inspired by the golden rectangle with engineered folds to create volume for infinite creativity. Shujan’s maker spirit is on display in each and every one of her products as they are simply beautiful, thoughtfully crafted, sustainably designed and made in San Francisco.
